關於黑貓 About black cats
前幾天得知一個消息，是關於在流浪動物收容所中，黑貓是最不受領養者青睞的選項之一，而原因大致有二。
一是因為傳統觀念認為黑貓不吉利，會帶來災禍。第二則是因為「黑貓不好拍照」，這理由讓我滿傻眼...
去領養寵物，是出自於愛？還是只為了換取社群網路上的讚？
還有「不吉利」這點... 拜託，已經21世紀了，「黑貓不吉利」的觀念應該早就要與「呼口號就能發大財」一樣，只是個迷思。

圖中的黑貓叫做黛安娜(Diana)，牠除了每天鬼吼鬼叫+呼嚕+撒嬌+跳舞+踢足球+挖內褲之外，還真沒帶給我任何的不幸。沒錯，黑貓的確比較難拍，但我疼愛黛安娜不是為了社群網路上的讚，而是因為我愛牠。

我明白並非每個人都是貓奴，但愛貓者因為黑貓的天生毛色而排斥牠，這樣就跟去美國看到黑人後，就先入為主的認為他愛邊打籃球邊吃肯德基配西瓜一樣，種族歧視。

我希望人們能消除對黑貓的偏見，也希望黑貓能獲得牠們應得的疼愛。
Saw a news about black cats are one of the least popular options among adopters. And the reasons are mainly: 1. Black cats bring bad lucks. 2. Black cats are hard to take pics with. OK seriously WTF guys.
Do you adopting a pet because of love? Or just for the likes on social media?
And about “bad lucks”… dude, it’s 2019, “Black cats bring bad lucks” should be as stupid as “Epstein killed himself”.

The name of the cat in this pic is Diana. Despite being very vocal, loves to purr, cuddle, dance, play football, and mess with my underwear everyday, I don’t think she’s bringing me any bad lucks. And yes, black cats are a bit harder to take pics, but the likes on social media isn’t the reason I love Diana. I love her simple because I love her, that’s what a pet owner should do, love your pets.

I understand not everyone loves cats, but those who do and chose to reject black cats just because the color of the fur, is just plain racist. It’s like assuming every black person loves to play basketball and eat KFC with watermelons at the same time.

I hope people can love black cats just like how they love every other cats.
